Really?!...how interesting...My avatar is me at 19. I chopped that bike from a stock 1965 Triumph TR6 650. I did all the work myself...frame, engine, paint, etc. I chopped other bikes for various people over the years (HARLEY, Triumph, BSA, Honda). Made enough to buy my first Harley (1975 XLCH Sportster) in 1976 (and I was married by then).

No one ever told me that only Harley's should be chopped. Wish I knew back then...

Looks like a chopper to me, Steve. Good job.

Nice.

Don't need to buy anything to chop it...

I got a saws-all, cuttin torches, welder(s), lathe, mill, big hammer, and a few paint sprayers. Hell, I even have some airbrush equipment! What ever ya wanna do, we CAN DO! LOL!

Oh yeh, the OP asked about choppers. Here's mine, and even though it was home built by me, when I rode it even the hard core harley guys gave it much praise! Of course at first it did have a stretched springer on it. Similar to the one in FreeBird's pic, but newer lookin. The red front end made it look like a rat bike, but had no choice. The springer (and my right leg) took most of the abuse when I was run down at a red light. I guess I can count myself as being 'chopped' also. Left 3/4" of right tibia on the road...

Back in the late '60's and early '70's I didn't think it was a real Chopper unless it was a "chopped" 750 Honda or some kind of Triumph. Never really thought too much about chopping up a good Harley.

Yeah, that what I thought a real Chopper was supposed to look like.
