Yet so called veterans think its ok to ride bumper to bumper and in parallel instead of staggered avoiding the common sense 2 second rule that we've all be taught to follow be it auto or motorcycle. I don't care how skilled riders think they are, thats a HUGE accident waiting to happen and has nothing to do with motorcycle driving skills. It looks cool but that's all. It's not smart riding. Spread out and have fun!

One reason I ride alone.. or with few selected..

I wouldn't or wont let someones riding ability bother me if in the same position.

That's why I don't like riding in a group, and when I have to, I'm in the back.

cadman113:

Great looking roads. Where are they?

Group riding:

I can take them or leave them. As for me, in the past I'm glad to have read some pointers here at hdforums about etiquette while riding in a group on the road. Given my background, the only etiquette when group riding dirt bikes out in the woods is: Ride fast, hang on, and try not to run over your friend when they fall in front of you!! (Unless they would help you gain traction.)

we all have to start (and i can ride) so where and if you started out the best rider than you rock....I cant stand a "im the best and always have been!" atitude...at least I koiw im rookie and that alone lets ya know im a safe rider.

We all have to start somewhere...so take it easy on us....teach us and dont be a jerk....we want to be good so teach us....dont knock us

I prefer to either be first or last and lagging in a group. All it takes is one ******* to go down and you have a real ****in' mess.

Don't care for large group riding. I've done it many times, but it always ended with the group getting split up then those lagging haulin *** to catch up.
These were poker runs. When given the choice, me and a few buddies would not join the pack and ride our smaller group at our pace.

I am not sure if I will like riding in a group. I have almost riden 10,000 miles since I got the bike in Nov. 95% of that has been alone. 5 percent has been with 1 other ride. For the first time ever I rode last weekend at getttsburg with 3 others.

Some what do people like about group rides?
