New rider cracks me up on a group ride.

Guy sounds like he was getting it. As long as the groups are small it's good to school people on how to group ride.
I hate gaps also. My one buddy is a great friend but he is a lagger. Drives me nuts to go on a long jaunt with him. I am always having to look in my mirrors. I taught my G/F how to ride correctly. It's so much easier to ride with people you don't have to worry about.

thats why you put the new guy up front or in the back so they can ride at there level of skill. Otherwise you get a newbie that does what this guy does and before its over it bits him in the **** as hes trying to keep up with the group and makes a stupid rookie mistake and ends everyones fun day.

Six of us did a ride up into Pa. this weekend and someone brought a new guy who just bought a RK last fall.
He was in the 5 spot I was 6 and he kept lagging way behind the group so I finally passed him, half an hour later at a stop he jumped back in front of me but for the rest of the day he stayed right wth the group and anytime he dropped off even a little I could see him checking his mirrors for me. I guess he hates being last.
One of those things that just cracked me up a little on the ride, I think I pissed him off. Weird but schooling a new guy kind of made me smile.
