Default Hose clamps

I have replaced the stock crimp-on fuel hose clamps with stainless steel screw type clamps, but wonder which is really better? Any problems with the crimp-on style?

Not really, except they can be over tightened and cut the hose.

The Oetiker clamps can not be over-tightened like the worm gear clamps.
You need a crimp tool to install and have to cut them off for removal. There are different type crimp tools available.
They can be hard to crimp in tight areas.
I bought a kit from Ebay for $35.

The crimped on style can be a PITA to remove in tight quarters as opposed to the worm gear screw clamps.

Question

Factory clamp's do not cut into the hose, also when cleaning I was getting cut on ss band clamps. Installed quick detacheable fuel line disconnect from Hertco, bought crimping tool & clamps. Much cleaner look & don't have to cut anything to remove the fuel tank.

Worm clamps shouldn't be used, as they cut into the hose.
Tell the help at the auto parts store you need fuel line clamps.
They should know what you're asking about.

I'm pretty sure moco uses Oetiker clamps because they're more cost effective and idiot proof for production. Worm gear is fine, just don't crank them down to the point the rubber hose is bulging through the band slits. Part of your routine ride inspection should include a once over of the fuel lines anyway, though I realize not everyone does that, myself included. Maybe I should invest in an Oetiker kit myself...

For some locations the crimping tool used to crimp sprinkler system pipe clamps works just fine, and is generally much cheaper (less than $20).
