Thanks for the pics! If you have one, I would like to see the jacket zipped up. Also, if you zip it up all the way (unsnap the collar), how does it ride - do the collar tips smack you in the face? Thanks!

From the pics it almost looks as though the leather is smooth and has no grain... is that correct?

The mid weight cow Columbia which I have is a smoother grain than my wife's goat Cascade.

Doesn't an off-the-rack Langlitz cost more than the custom Schott?

I wasn't aware there was an off-the-rack line of Langlitz, other than going to their shop in Portland and seeing what's on the used rack.

Schott is good stuff, too. I used to have a steerhide jacket in the "cafe" style. Great leather and workmanship.

Yes, a Langlitz is more, but not much.

Call Langlitz back and ask them to send you their brochure/catalog, price sheet, etc. There are pictures, descriptions, etc. Very good company to deal with and their products are excellent. I have a 24 year old Langlitz Columbia in mid-weight cowhide that is still in great shape after all these years. Langlitz leathers are expensive but you will get your money's worth.

gtrplyr, if you can wait until the weekend, I'll get you the pics. I'm out of town right now, but can take them when I get back.

Anyone have a Langlitz Cascade, or the Columbia with the Cascade collar?
