Default Shifter tearing up boot

Anyone else have a problem with their boot (whatever you wear), getting messed up from shifting. Is there a cover of some kind you can get to slip over the shifter?

A buddy took his boot to a shoe repair shop and had them sew another piece of leather from under the sole up and over the part of the boot that makes contact with the shifter.. Worked great.

I don't have a problem with my shifter peg, but they sell pegs that spin so that you won't scrub your boot, they just roll.

Thanks for the info. I had thought about just attaching something soft to it, but don't want it to look stupid. Also thought about putting something over my boot while riding. I will see how many different options I get from you guys.

I have 2 shifter pegs they are both more flatter and have rubber on them and don't scrape the the boot up at all. I think as they contact the boot with more area it doesn't mark like the round ones that hit in a small area.

I've seen guys use a sock to cover the boot toe. When you aren't riding just take the sock off.

I use the edge between the boot and the sole and have no problems at all. I like those boots by the way!

Unbefrickinlievable...

Probably the same fellas whose wives make them wear nightshirts in case of seepage.

How the hell did you keep from falling on your *** from laughing?
