Default American Rider Mag

Well, has anyone else received a renewal for Rider magazine. I called them to tell them that I did not have a subscription for Rider only to find out that American Rider has been changed. The magazine now will be about All motorcycles. I told them that if I wanted to read about metric motorcycles that I would have subscripted to that type of magazine.

Are you sure about your post? There is a Rider, and there is an American Rider, magazine. Two separate publications.

There is nothing on American Rider's website that indicates any change.

I called them (American Rider) to subscribe and a recording came on and said they were no longer taking subscriptions because the magazine was no longer going to be published. It also said any unused subscriptions would be transfered over to Rider Magazine.

Rider is my favorite cycle mag. But I do more than cruise around on a Harley.

I subscribe to Rider, Cycle World and Motorcyclist and occassionally pick up a copy of Hot Bike and American Iron, or something like that. Rider is my favorite. I could do without CW and Motorcyclist, but Rider is a keeper. Rider gives good coverage to HD and offers factual reviews without being biased. I like reading about other brands. Rider doesn't have a sport bike slant like the others appear to and seems to be a more mature magazine.

Give Rider a try, you may like it.

I haven't seen American Rider for quite a while, and never heard of Rider magazine. I guess I will stick with American Iron.

American Rider is done. There's been some chat about it on the magazine's forum. Too bad. I don't think it ever got enough exposure for it to have been successful.

So what happens when you have a subscription to Rider & American Rider...will I start getting 2 copies a month in the mail?

Motorcyclist is getting a little better since Brian Catterson took on an XR1200 as his long term test bike. The current issue is all about protective gear.
"Since taking delivery of my long-term xr1200....I've delved further into the world of cruiser wear than I'd ever dared before."
