Pictures...

Chiuhauha, the start and our escorts.

Interesting thing about the start image - that's my yellow bike. Some motorclothes goof at the dealership said at one time "Oh, yellow's the most popular color for Fatboys". To which I said, "sure it is". Over 200 bikes there. Mine is the only yellow one. Sure it is.

More pictures.

My mirror with headlights in the background and some riders.

Enjoy.

Great pictures. Looks like a great ride. What routes did you go on? I am from the area and would love to find another "good Sunday ride?"

Sure. You would ask the route...

Since it was escorted, I sorta followed the pack. I've got the turn-by-turn directions in my office. If you're interested I'll copy them down and send you a PM.

Mike, If you're in Bradford then you're about 3 miles from me. I'm off of 114 near the Middleton line.

We should plan a ride or at least swap good routes to ride in the area. I know I have a few I always go on when I have an hour or two to burn.

i think most larger group rides are better controlled and contain members mostly use to group rides. also, with the big push for taking the MSF courses which cover group rides, perhaps this is now translating to better group rides. i know there still are a few that don't ride well in groups but hope those numbers are dwindling. just my 02

My wife noticed that the Seacoast chapter has a new rider ride that's for new group riders. I suppose that more of those kinds of educational rides helps out. She's (or we're) going to check one out.

One thing that was interesting about this ride is that at the first two legs, we crossed over because the stagger was messed up. I can understand it since you can't guarantee that there's an even number of riders in each staged group. But on the last leg the guy in front of me (I was in the #2 spot in our group) didn't cross over and we rode in a "missing man" formation for the rest of the ride. Now I understand that if we change the stagger that it would ripple through the rest of the group - that might not be a good thing. But, is the proper form to leave the hole or fix the stagger? I'm a man that digs even, symmetrical things. That hole in front of me irritated me for 40 miles.
