I like it, It's different and looks neat to me. I don't know how you arrive at $80K invested though. Hank Young has built some really neat bikes (my favorite being the "Flying Pan") but I assumed he also did most of the machine and fabrication work himself. I guess If he were to add in a really high hourly rate his projected "money invested" quote could go pretty high.

It's hard for me to see because the bike in the picture I built in 03. I have less than $10K invested in it as it sits. I wouldn't know what to add as far as "My labor" but it was done after work hours as a hobby. I ended up selling it to a guy in N.C. but I hear it's back up in South Jersey somewhere.

I agree with BlackRob, Sucker Punch Sally bikes are popular because they can be bought for $25K. Years ago RevTech came out with the "Bike in a Box" kit. That's what Sucker Punch bikes remind me of. I also think the custom bike market is dead, "For now", and I hope the guys who paid big money for their custom bikes like them and didn't buy them thinking it was some kind of "investment".

+1, we like to think of our bikes as customs with a handful of bolt on gadgets in place, but a true custom IS NOT for everyone. The bike in question has a lot of potential if it could be bought at the right price, it needs a CUSTOM paint job suited to the new owner, I would change the rims (never liked solid rims), but regardless to what I think the bike was not built for me. Would I own a bike like this...YES. Is the bike FUGLY...YES. Is the bike a one of a kind...YES. Could you ride this bike all day...NO, Could you score a lot of ***** with this bike...YES. the YESes out weight the NOs.
