Default Oh Windshield....How I Love And Hate You!

Am I the only one who dreams about the magic invisible windshield? I FREAKIN LOVE the ride when I'm cruising with my windshield....but I FREAKIN HATE THE LOOK of the windshield on my bike!!

So I find myself trying to forecast my ride each time to determine....

1. Where are we going?
2. How fast will we be riding?
3. Are we going highway or back roads?
4. Are we going somewhere where people will be looking at my bike?
5. Are we staying in a hotel so I can detach my windshield as soon as we get there and store it in the room??

The Gods are against me!

Hey those thoughts are pretty much inline with mine. If just banging around town tho, I'll usually pull mine off.

I have a Micro windshield that helps tons and doesn't detract from the look of your bike at all. I think they also call them full face helmets.

I don't mind the look of mine but it does seem to affect the highway feel a little. Then again, without it, the Kansas wind can make it hard to breathe at times, especially with a side wind. I get a blast of air that comes up between my headlight and the windshield which is pretty annoying when it's cold out. Been thinking about using some leather or something to block that off. I took the windshield off for a short while last summer but there's just too many bugs out here. This year, it's staying on.

I don't like the look of my wimpsheild or my saddlebags, but they are both damn nice to have when you ride beyond the city limits. So they stay on the bike, because riding is more important to me than being cool.
