Oh Windshield....How I Love And Hate You!

i'm not sure i understand the whole benefit of having a windshield......
i just installed one yesterday and i was expecting the comfort level to improve - based on all i've heard about having one. however, besides blocking bugs, i was actually in a bit of discomfort. instead of the wind hitting my face, it actually blows straight up now!!!
it constantly felt like my goggles were going to fly upwards off my head, my hair was literally blown UP from the back of my head and at the end of the ride, my ears were SO red and it felt like they got pummeled by a boxer 
there's no way now to wear headphones, the noise is 10x louder if they could even stay in my ears.
if that's what a windshield does, then it's not worth the ugliness!!

The wind noise is 500% worse without a windshield. That's the main reason I never take mine off. With it off you have to run the loudest pipes you can find just to hear your own engine.
