Keep it from getting stolen

With your set up--keep good insurance with gap. If it was my bike I would be looking for a secure place to park it. Living room first--garage second---secure storage building last. Only place my HD's sleep is inside. Only place they are parked is where I can see them or someone watching them almost all the time. Sounds paranoid but I will make stealing my stuff difficult so that thieves either target someone easier or pay. I am not just going to give them my property or make it easy.

How about a little sign you can hang on the sissy bar? I offer the following suggestions:
"$5000.00 REWARD for the thumbs of anyone stealing this bike"
"PRIVATE PROPERTY. KEEP OFF. Thieves will never be found"

Thinking hard about running live electricity to mine. Not sure if it would hurt it though, 120 volts on it live. Losing two ATVs was a real pisser. Losing my late Fathers Sporty , I just can't fathom it. Need to get off my **** and finish up my shop building, then I can rest a little bit easier.

Best deterant is a loud alarm backed up with a Xena disc brake alarm. They are very sensitive and scream bloody murder as soon as bike is bumped. About $80 but worth it!!! I put the disc lock on all the time and scared heck out of a couple friends, good for a laugh.

Well...we could talk about this all day...I had LoJack before and let me tell you. DO NOT waste your money..what a joke that was. Insurance only pays so much and then watch it go UP once you are forced to file a claim after paying insurance premiums for years & years. Locks & chains are not much good as a good set of bolt cutters will take care of those. I had that and loJack on my bike and who knows where it is now.
I found something that works for me and I feel pretty good about it. I have a GPS Tracker that tells me when my bike gets moved or tampered with....very small, almost undetectable and easy to install. Works great so wanted to share my bad & good experiences. Here is a link to LoJack's coverage area....( bad experience ) and this is a good example of WHY...... here is a link to a map of that coverage that shows also the tracker that I have....good luck but don't take my word for it..do your research...thats what I did to come up with the Find It Now tracker AFTER I lost $20,000 with LoJack...
