Default Dad went down tonight...Marcum Performance showed great customer service

So my dad and I were supposed to meet up tonight to get the oil changed in our bikes..he coming from his house and I from mine. I was a little worried when I showed up at my mechanic and he wasnt there - sure enough a call came from my mom that he had been in an accident. Looks like his E-glide took some wind at the wrong angle on a curve and he went straight off...the bike dug in and threw him over the bars. Good news is he is a little banged up, with just some scratches and broken scapula(sp?) He is a tough guy so he'll shake it off with a little time to relax.

The Pendleton Indiana EMT and police were fantastic, but what really impressed me was my local shop, Marcum Performance. I have been going to him for a couple years because he is a little cheaper than the dealer and he does great work...but I am not going to make this an advertisement for him. I do, however, want to applaud him for great service. Hearing that my dad was down, they drove me to the scene, and stayed behind to make sure that the wrecker called for a flatbed and that they took it back to thier shop so we didn't incur the exorbitant storage at the tow truck yard. Keep in mind my dad isnt even a customer yet - this was going to be his first service since moving here.

Being able to leave the scene to go to the hospital and not worry about what showed up to get the bike or where to try to find it tomorrow was a big relief in an already stressful time and taking the time to drive me to the accident scene was more than I could ask. I just wanted to say thanks in case they or anyone in the central Indiana area read this thread. You have lifelong customers with my family!!

Glad yer dad ain't hurt bad!

And especially glad you've got a good indy near ya! I'm hopin with the economical crisis, more businesses will change their attitudes toward customer support. The days of 'grab the money and run' are gettin old...

I'm REALLY glad your dad is going to be alright. With all due respect though, the quote above concerns me, unless I'm reading it wrong. I hope you and your pops reads the thread below.

Again, I'm glad your dad is alright.
