Is it possible to bend the backrest a bit

this is the same one i have and its no were near straight up and down

Well you need to know that once you force the rest to move, you will weaken the integrity of the rest itself. You can't bend it and not weaken it so be aware if you do of how much pressure you may ever put on it. Noname

I drilled a hole between the other two on the rear mount. It moved the backrest back about an inch or so, doesn't sound like a lot, but it is. It also lowered it slightly, maybe a 1/4", no big deal. Wife is very happy.
