Default Helmet help!

I just got a HD Stock helmet, and I hate it. The excess strap no matter how you tuck it into the little red hair tie thing flaps out and slaps me non stop, annoying.

Even worse, the helmet is HUGE, like an 2 inches on each side, and you can feel the difference...

So I'm looking for a good skull cap, small and comfortable, good strap, and has to be DOT approved. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the wrong size, did you try it on before you bought it?

Fits great, inside of the couple inches of padding. When I say huge I mean like bulky.

cut the excess strap to desired length and singe the end with a lighter so it doesn't fray.

honestly...some of the questions on here...i'm beginning to think some people need the advice of the forums before getting dressed in the morning.

and when you go DOT you sacrifice looks for a sticker and a rating (and safety, so they say) so don't expect too much.

Alright, strap easy solve. It's the concept.

I have to wear a DOT helmet, military and ride on base everyday. Was just wondering if anyone knew a good and slim dot helmet.

LOL don't ask that... but if you insist be prepared for about 300 blowhards to get on their soapboxes, completely miss your intention of your post, and pretend they don't care about appearances as they pose in their designer pirate leathers, bad *** wallet chain and rag, their chromed out 25K road queen and "hey look at me" loud pipes...

but to answer your question it doesn't exist... they all look ridiculous, bulbous, and stupid. the sooner you stop looking and settle for the stupid DOT lid you already have the happier you'll be.
