Heres what we have to work with.
Good frame.
Good sheet metal.
Good bottom end/ possibly

Needs:
top end/ heads, jugs. pistons/rings. rods, rockers.
carb
distributor
front end.
rims and tires.
chain/ sprokets
handle bars and all controls.
wiring harness
lights
seat
brake lines
clutch cable/ cluch parts.
foot pegs

Im sure I am missing a lot in this list but lets get the parts rolling.
Come on Men time to go through the garage and pull out those parts that have been sitting on the shelf for years so we can help out a good man get back on two wheels again. Keep an eye on the swap meets. Lots of good parts out there to be had.
Lets get the ball rolling.
once i know its ok by the admins to get this thread stickied or a new thread stickey by someone i'll do up an accurate list of parts needed that can be reveiwed but outside of the front end and top end its mainly little chit and lots of media blasting chrome to strip the peeling rusting crap off and even more painting

damn Dennis, thats blows. just read for the first time, and i read every post. im very impressed with our members here. i wouldnt have thought so many people wanting to help.
i know from experience, being a canadian myself, and ill tell anyone the same, that you east coasters, are some of the best guys in the world.
i also want to help ya out man, cause i know you'd do the same.
i dont have much cash, but with the number of people here wanting to help, a little will add up fast. so i will donate what i can.
also, when i bought my 75 sporty, i got most of the original stuff that was removed. original 75 sporty parts arent the prettyest pieces but they are yours if need be.
levers, gauges, speedo, mirrors, headlight and visor, signals, rear shocks.
i got a couple boxes of crap off of older bikes as well.
i've never mailed parcels before or sent cash through paypal so ill need to be walked through that process.
lets get this goin one way or another. im curios to see how fast we can get you back in the wind.
Dan.

You sure are generous Dragpipe. It is nice to see some kindness in this messed up world. I wish more were like you, and I don't even know you!

I've got a box full of stock parts from my 99 sporty. If they will fit, they are yours. I have throttle/idle cables, jugs, pistons, clutch cable, blinkers assy (front and rear), risers speedo mount, pegs, grips, levers, coil, etc, etc, etc. Just say the word!
John
And if you decide to go the new/used bike route from down here, I got it from D.C. to New York!

I need some heat shields for a 99 Sporty. If you can sell them to me, you can then donate the money to NSCoyote. Just let me know!

I'd have it from MA to northern NH or Maine. Let me know if I can help.

This thing could quickly become a reality. I am game from NC to Dc, as I stated before. Might have to hitchhike back, but I can handle that, lol.

Come on NSCoyote, haven't you scared the beeJesus out of him yet? He ought to be leaning on his insurance to write you a check and make you go away. Now that you know he HAS insurance, lol.

Hang in there, it will work out somehow. RD
