ok got pics of the bikes damages and spoke with the indy,
he is refusing to accept liability for the fire and is stating i am gonna have to swallow the loss cause he aint got insurance. so i went and spoke with a lawyer and he said that we can push it to small claims court to ge ta judgment order agaisnt him for the replacment value of the bike but that wont do anything if he hasnt got anything to take.

and the parts for the top end *heads, cylinders, rockerboxs pistons carb pushrods etc are no where to be found*. spoke with the local harley dealership and its tech and they estimate that its gonna cost at least $10k to put the bike back to the way it was when the bike was dropped off to have the top end replace last week before the fire.

Damn NS, that really sucks, hope you can get something resolved on it in your favor. All that damage and it didn't do anything to the tires...that's wierd as hell.

What are the other folks doing whose bikes where burnt??

Anyway...good luck.

Definitely sue him. He may not have anything to take now, but unless NS is different than Alberta, once you have a judgment it is in force for 10 years, the renewable once for another 10. At any time During that 20 years he gains assets, you are able to attach a lien to any/all of them.

Not only was it stupid and irresponsible ot be without insurance, he IS NOT your friend. A real friend would not A)gamble with other people's prized possessions, and B)when he gets bit on the gambling, try and walk away from all responsibility without trying to make the slightest amends.

F**k him and f**k him hard.

I just saw a pick of your bike a few days ago in your bike build thread and then to see the pics of it now, almost brought a tear to my eye and I've no connection to you or your bike. I can't even imagine what you must have felt when you saw it.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I would have thought he would at least offer some parts and labor on your next bike, something.

Get on that paypal account and I'm willing to be we get you enough seed money to pick up a good start to your project. Add that to the mounds of parts most of us in here have kickin around, and I'm willing to bet you'll back up and running quicker than you think.
