I find it pretty easy to believe, that sooner or later it's going to happen. It's a lot easier to correctly map a fuel injected motor if you can regulate the heat.

When the entire Harley lineup goes water cooled (as it inevitably will) it won't be the end of life as you know it.....there will still be plenty of things to argue about. A bike having a 'soul' and being water cooled aren't mutually incompatible.

But I heard you had to use Screaming Eagle water at $75 per quart or you void the warranty

That's still cheaper than using their approved blinker fluid.
