Default '63 Restoration video

I was looking at the restored '63 AH video and a few things look wrong. The '63 should have a black seat with wide thru-seat air induction, this one doesn't and has the '62 or AU set up. The metal Topper logos don't go on an AH of that year but rather have decals that look like '62 Duo Glide metal tank badges. I'm sure this guy tried his best as coherent documentation is hard to find. Here's my '62 AH attached.

According to Vintage Motorcycles magazine the bike looks to be a condition five and there were two 165cc Topper models that year. An AH Topper and an AU Topper. The AH would be $1,410 and the AU $1,350.

Condition 5 is not running all parts there and could be restored.

So the guy is dreaming at $2,500.

HD and the scooter should never be said together LOL! Cool little scoot, but I would not pay $2500 for it HD or not. Has anyone seen and HD snowmobile? They were made in AMF days.

My first Harley was an AMF snowmobile.

I'd like to get one of those and put on straight pipes just to annoy the vespa kids.

It seems I can't even see the pic of my Topper I posted a while ago. Can anyone else see it? I've been doing Toppers for quite a while and have two observations. #1 is that indeed most bikers don't know Harley made a scooter and #2, it is a huge attention getter whenever you take it out. During the peak of vintage values, 2-3 years ago, a few sold for $8500 - $10000 also done incorrectly but in pristine condition like this restoration. Like all things special, prices have fallen significantly to $3500 - $5000 as they were in pre-2005.

The pic is there. You won't be able to see the pics until you send me the obligatory $5,000 donation. Then I'll let you get into all the cool pics on the site.

$500o? It's a Harley not a Cushman! I thought iy would cost more! lolol... I'm trying to get my 10 posts so I can see pictures... sorry for the blather.
By the way, that Topper engine is a DKW 165cc, so much for Harley being "all" American. - AZP

You know how to disperse and unruly group of Californians? Start up a 2-stroke Topper (or light a cigarette!). That's post #8.

Not a real good pic, but saw one at the HD museum last month.
