Had a leak exactly like that on my 05 SG. Last month I figured I'd change the tower gaskets. 2 of them, a buck each. (Just 1 is in the 06 and lateriI believe) Only needed to remove the outer primary cover. I was very careful and reused the same cover gasket. I believe it was an after market one put in by an independent shop last year. I was tired of paying the big bucks for the HD primary fluid. On a recomendation I used a much more inexpensive Castrol GTX 20w 50 oil. Didn't happen over night but my seapage has stopped. Going for a long run this weekend. We'll see.

So you know, if your elbow grease is not up to snuff, you could find you need an impact wrench to remove the compensator nut. Also need primary chain locking tool, snap ring pliers, and the gaskets. Then need seal puller and it is probably a good idea to replace the bearing as they are known issues on the 06 models. Lot of work for a couple drops of oil IMHO.

Yup...My shifter shaft is leaking a bit, after every ride I give the primary under side a quick wipe and not a drop on the floor. It will have to done at some point but no real rush.
