Stro,
Congratulations passing your Police Motor school. Reading your post, I know it was a tough two weeks. I felt your pain.
I went through Police Motor school a couple years ago. It was the roughest two weeks of my 28 year career. Every bone in my body hurt, I was taking Aleve like it was candy. Two months after the school was over my back and arms still hurt.
You are now part of an elite group that few will ever get to experience.
Ride safe out there, especially when it's hot. Drink lots of water. People don't believe me when I tell them when it's 85 degrees on up, in a 10 hour shift I'll loose 5 to 7 pounds. I sometimes have to change my uniform mid day because of the sweat, and salt stains. The job of a Motor Officer looks glamorous, but it is a grueling job. With that said, I love doing what I do.

Motor School.

Getting ready to do an escort of several hundred bikes. Fund raiser for a fallen soldier.

Thanks whitecoyote. I actually went through motor school (and started the thread) in 2010. This will be my 4th year as a motor officer.

I dunno how you guys keep from getting TOTALLY po'd when someone just keeps going like that with you having to risk your life over and over to catch him.
Without cameras on, I'd have had to beat him to a pulp. I couldn't handle it. I really wondered what was gonna happen when he (motorcop) flew over those
railroad tracks at that speed!

He did a nice job on that pursuit, huh? No denying that adrenaline spikes are something you have to keep in mind. I remember years ago snatching a driver up, who had run from me and crashed, and apparently slamming him on the trunk of my car. I honestly didn't mean to, I was just really hyped up. I apologized later for bouncing his face off my trunk. He took it well!
