Going through police motor school

Instead of wrapping your crash-bars in rubber hose, you might want to go to your local fire dept and get some old canvas wrap fire-hose. It holds together better. I got that tidbit from " Motor Lessons (A Motorcycle Operator's Self-Study Course)" by Harris Neil, a Motor-Officer Instructor. If you want it (it's free) send a message to: MotorLessons@Ricochet.com
The one thing they don't teach you in this manual is the full-lock turn or the 180 pull-out.

Fellow Motor Officer here.... Richmond Police, Richmond KY.........We ride Electra Glides.....went through the 2 week course with Lexington Metro Police. Was tough stuff, but it eventually clicked. When I first arrived for training, they took off the pretty chrome piece from the front fender, then wrapped the crash bars with industrial tubbing that was split down the middle and zip tied it on. My left elbow stayed scabbed over for weeks....very deep. But was the best training in 18 yrs of Law Enforcement. Nice read.....keep us updated!

Arctic, I just tried to send them an email but the message bounced saying that the email address does not exist. Any chance you can verify the address and repost? I would really love to have that info. Thanks man.
