Going through police motor school

Stro,
Excellent thread. I'm learning from your posts and I'm sure others are too. Wish my agency was big enough for motors. Even at my age I think I'd go for it. Hang in there. I know you will pass. Just 1 week left and you are going to come out of it a great Motor Officer. You're doing great.

As many of us here..we started riding at a young age (on dirt bikes) and here I thought I was a pretty decent rider at 47 yrs old. Now I find myself anyalizing the way I ride and what I can do better. Hmmm maybe I need the course and learn new skills all over. Great thread and I will think about this thread while I am riding for a long time to come. Be safe out there!

I remember going through the Police Motor Course the first time. On day three, I came home so sore that I could hardly move. I told my wife if I had to pick up that damn motorcycle one more time I thought I was going to die. She looked at me and said, "If you don't drop it, you won't have to pick it up!" I didn't drop the bike the rest of the week.

I've been keeping up with the progress as well. We have no motorcycle cops within 30 miles of my home, but I see them occasionally outside of town. I had no idea the training and certification was this intense. Kudos to you Stro, hang in there, maybe practice some of the basic exercises without cones this weekend. Keep us posted on your progress, and be safe above all things.
