Was that supposed to be some kind of insult? How about over 17,000 miles in 7 months last year. How many did you ride?

You guys don't seem to be able to grasp the point I'm making. Why do you not see that this is a great opportunity for the moco to do some good for a charity. Instead of the moco just promoting themselves, they could very easily donate to a cause using the riders efforts as the measuring stick (miles rode) to determine their contribution.

Assuming 40 mpg at $4.30 a gallon, OPEC is gonna make $107,500 that day.
There's a worthy cause. You just paid for their snow cone machine. Deluxe model.

We could be in trouble but I'm willing to do my part.
The real question is which costs more gas. Or. Starbucks ?

Normal day for me is 60 miles round trip. That's just to work and back. Close to 4000 miles since the beginning of February. And I haven't even left the state.

Seriously, you think that all these people do is ride 5 miles to Starbucks? Man, that stuff went out in the 90s along with investment bikers. An average ride for the local hog chapter here is between 2-300 miles. I have no idea who just rides to Starbucks anymore.

Heck, with gas being what it is, I wish I only had to ride 10 miles a day. I'd be wealthy.

Sounds like you either don't like your bike ,or you don't like Harley. Most people with a new bike look for any excuse to take a ride. Now you claim to put on 17k in 7 months, so are you tired of the bike and need to make excuses for why you don't want to ride it?. Or are you shocked to find out how much it costs to own a Harley? 1k service,5k service, 10k service, at least 1 set of tires, 3 oil changes, plus gas all in 7 months of ownership.Harley has never been a not for profit company and they do donate to different charities. There's nothing stopping you from donating to any cause you want, and their not forcing you to do the ride. And there's no cost to you, if you do the ride. Also I've been riding for over 35 years and gave up keeping track of miles years ago and 4 Harley's ago.,,
