Angry Three breakdowns in one week. WTF!

So I had a deceleration miss and a super high idle. HD diagnosed it as a bad fuel line witch I replaced with some 5/16 Napa submersible fuel line because it was rubbing the inside of the tank. Problem solved NO. still had a decel miss and a super high idle so while I searched this forum I decided to adjust the clutch and found a crap load chunks of metal so I replaced the exploded under rated compensator/rotor with the SE 40274-08. Problem solved SORTA. WTF so I think it must be the crank sensor or the idle air sensor. At this point I think I am going to just start throwing money I dont have so this thing will run right. 07 softail standard 65,000 miles BSS and a sert. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

just ride it until something really big breaks, then rebuild it and replace basically everything.

sounds like the problem I just fixed, mine was the tbs, mine would want to die out at idle and after a few miles it would race at high idle. I would have to shut the bike down and restart, sometimes more than once. Hope this helps

Thanks. it did have some low idle issues when i came to a stop. I just dont want to throw unnessasery $ at it if I dont have to. HD wants 100 bones to diagnose it. That will almost pay for 2 sensors. I just cant believe that everything would fail in one week. I sure would like to know if their is a chain of events that makes sense.

yea I didn't want to spend the cash either on diagnostics, I checked and cleaned the iac and the speed sensor but that was not the prob. take the tps off and put a meter on it and it will read if its good or bad, if you search the foriums or the internet it will tell you how to check with an ohms meter. good luck.
