Default Vest snaps suck

Does anyone else have the problem with their vest snaps opening up when riding. I have a $150 HD vest that will not stay snapped when riding above 45 mph.

Only guys that need to lose a few pounds. Oh wait, that's all of us. I use those vest extenders when riding. It's a pain when your vest is flying in the wind.

I put extra snaps in the one I wear, one between each of the original ones. Also replaced
a couple of the ones it came with as U could just barely touch them and they would come apart.
U can get them at about any craft-hobby store..

Actually its not tight, and some of the guys I ride with use the extenders and end up with a looser fit than I do and have no problems. Its the wind opening them up not the gut.

Bring it back to the seller & ask for a zipper sewn inside the flap. When it's done up you won't see it.
Or sew in some velcro but I like the chains, it opens a lil but it dont go flyin' like you got a superman cape on!

Maybe you can switch from wearing a vest to a full on biker jacket. The ones that come with a padded chest, back and arms. That way, you don't have to worry about them flapping in the wind when you go fast.

You can try tapping down the snap a bit to open it up, and make it a tighter fit inside the snap. careful that you don't mash it down too far, or you will never be able to snap it closed.
