You paid $150 for a vest? I have a HD vest I bought new (the "Recoil" model) but it was about $45 new with tags on Ebay. No way I'd ever pay an HD dealer for the "Motorclothes." I ahven't worn it riding yet (still cool enough for a jacket here) but if it won't stay snapped I know my old $30 no-name vest will.

yep, no offense, but the newer HD motorclothes aren't of a very good quality. Have a leather shop replace the snaps, that will fix the prob

I had a my wife sew a zipper on my vest and then the snap go over the zipper. Take it to a shoe maker if your wife does not sew leather.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I'm starting to think the zipper idea is the route to go.

But, if you're ever gonna wear your vest over a jacket, keep that in mind when yer having the zipper done. That's one nice thing about snaps....you can use extenders.
I still vote for replacing the snaps

JB Weld the snaps shut and you won't have any more problems.
