I got to ask this question , Is this on a tube tire or a tubeless tire ?

Replace the stock plastic stem cap with a metal one. The metal caps have an o-ring to prevent air loss from valve failure.

No need to carry a special tool...just get a valve stem cap with the tightener built into the cap, and as mentioned above, get the ones with an o-ring for a second layer of protection.

I have no idea what a valve stem pin is, is he talking about the core inside the stem? If so I have never had one back out except for the ones I forgot to tighten up.

If your gonna slam a guy for not using the "correct" terminology...Just do it. You knew what he was referring to so guess it really don't matter what he called it.

Wasn't a slam but I could see how some may think it was. Everybody has different terminology, maybe my term of "core" is wrong, how the heck do I know what the correct term is, or what exactly he was referring to? Sorry.

I believe core is the proper term. I probably jumped the gun myself. Go have a beer on me and all will be good with the world again (for a few minutes anyway).
