Default Sons First Road Trip

Well my son Now 8 just made his first road Trip. 275 miles round trip to the coast. We Visited the Aquirum and had lunch at Hooters. Was a blast. He made it 3 hours non-stop down. He talked the hole way down...well screamed... I got to get a head set for us. We left at 8 AM and got back around 5 PM. On the way back we made a Lunch stop, Fuel Stop, and a Ice Cream stop. Now it is getting Fun

Love the look on his face with the Hooters girl! Kind of like "can she give me cooties and/or I like it!" Looks like Dad and son had a great time!

Looks like a great trip. One you both will remember for every. I took my daughter, 11 yrs. old, on a 50 mile trip from daytona to St. augustine last year. She loved it. I was afraid she would fall asleep though.

A day he will remember the rest of his life. Start an album for him and keep lots of pictures and other stuff in it. Someday when he is grown he will look at it over and over remembering the times.

I took my son on a 500 mile trip when he was 9. He still talks about it and he is 19 now. He's now a Marine and looking to buy his own bike. (He has been riding a friends bike for a couple years). Rode dirt bikes and 4 wheelers for years.

Those are memories that last a lifetime.

That was my biggerst fear. But We have a rule when he rides. If my head turns at all he must say "I'm Ok" this keeps him alert to me and lets me know he is alert. If he does not respond I do a 2ed "look" to see what way he is facing. In trafic it gets a little old as I check my Mirrors often. But at least I know he is ok.
