My buddy runs Amsoil, and has passed the magical 8,000 mile mark on the same oil. And nothing happened. His bike runs as good as anyone elses. There's nothing to get worried about, it can and has been done before. He plans on keeping this bike until the wheels fall off, and he's half way there.,,

BTW, why not do as others have suggested . . . change your oil before you leave . . . fresh oil and filter are cheap insurance and even cheaper peace of mind . . . just my 0.02
