I would not have a problem with buying sight unseen from a dealer, I almost did from a dealer but a private sale from a individual is entirely different OR atleast on ebay paid by paypal you would have a few places to go back on if you got ripped off. just my 2cents

Only if I knew the person I was buying it from otherwize would have to see it.Around hear there are plenty of bikes to choose from,no need to look elsewhere.Good Luck

I found a street glide in West Virginia which is much closer now if I can get him down on the price! he wants $20,000 for an 08 with 3500miles on it..it is decked out!! but Im trying to get him down to 19,000 which is still pricey for an 08! Or maybe I will just go local and get a new 09 street glide! but damn then the goodies are so expensive!! especialy aftermarket rims and true dual vance and hines! lots of good info thanks again!!

 

I just bought a bike from Az. and had it shipped to Ga. Talked several times with the owner before a forum member here,Boomer Bob went and rode it and went thru the usual questions and answer with the owner.Long story short I picked up a real nice Bad Boy for half of what they bring.Head up a new thread with your intentions.Lots of good folks on here from N.Cackalacky that would be willing to help you out.The price your looking at is on the high side but not outrageous if it has lots of extras.Get vin # and have your local sheriff's dept run it before you think any harder about turning over any funds.
You could probably get it shipped for 300 or so.If you get to that point pm me and I will give you the brokers name and number I used.They also are stand up people.

I bought my RKC sight unseen from a used bike dealer in S Carolina. There were LOTS of pictures and phone calls with the dealer. I had a pretty good feeling about the whole deal and wasnt disappointed. Its a nice bike.

I might feel different from an individual. I think I would fly out and look at it myself.

 

It's done every day but I would not try it.

Craig Jackson of Barrett-Jackson bought a 70's era muscle car from England sight unseen and he had wired the money first and did not even know for sure who it was.

He opened the shipping crate and it was exactly as stated. It was a rare edition and equipment. You could see how relieved that he was but he turned to the camera and said don't anyone ever try this. He's a multi millionaire so the $100K or so wouldn't hurt him if it was a bum deal.
