Mounting a digital camera to bike
Who here has mounted a small digital camera to their bike? How well does this work or is this a bad idea? Going on a bike ride for three days thru West Virginia with a couple of guys and would like to snap a couple of pic while riding if I see somthing interesting.
Thanks,
Mike

I have !
I have mounted both a digital and camcorder on my handlebars.
The digital take good show once moving but sucks idling or at really low speeds because of the handle bars shaking.
Get a RAM-MOUNT for your camera. google RAM-MOUNT & CAMERA MOUNT and you'll get some options.
Handlebar Assembly mount for clutch/brake reservoir on Gold Wing and many other bikes. Configured with 2 R-A-M ***** for use with 2 arms and devices. Black or chrome (-CH), also includes SAE bolts for Harley.

As for camera, look for one that Time Lapse or Interval Shooting.
Pentax W10 is water proof, you can set it to take picture every ## of seconds while riding. Set it and forget it. Get home and check out your photos.
check out http://www.goprocamera.com/ but stay away from the wide angle one. Picture quality is poor on this one, but the regular lens is better.
Can be mounted on the above ram mount with an adapter. Or use their adapters and put on your helmet.
Hope this helps.

I also use a Ram mount. The only problm I have encountered is when I want to switch from taking pictures to shooting video. But thats just me and my camera..its hard... and dangerous to try and look down at what you are doing.

Thanks for the link to Ram-Mount, that is what I am looking for. When I get back from our trip next month I will post up some pics.
CruzN, that helmet camera looks pretty cool. I will have to get one in the future.
