While I agree that OCC is kind of commercial lately. I believe that when SR puts together a bike it comes more from the heart aka the POW bike which I loved or the Mann bike also. Jr black widow is an awesome bike as well. Don't watch it all the time but do on occassion.

I agree with you.I think Sr. builds from the heart but I think Jr. is just after fame and fortune.

I can't say I've seen anything real original any of them have done, I've seen it all somewhere before. Except maybe those stupid gas tanks they do, with a **** pit on top???????? Sure it's a theme, but way overboard and gaudy.
All the real innovative stuff, they pay someone else to do.
I still enjoy watching the show, when nothing else is on.

I agree!

jr. was born into a unique situation and he's going for all it's worth and I can't blame him for one second because I'd do the same thing.

Choppers are cool, but a Jim Nasi Fat Boy - is my favorite!

I can see what you mean, it looks like it would be fun to throw a leg over that one.

American Chopper is fun to watch, (except this last Monday's episode) but I too like the Indian Larry bikes over all other customs. There are a lot of nice looking customs out there, but Larry made bikes that I would want to ride! Plus, he was one of the nicest people I have EVER met in my life. He talked to me like he had known me for a very long time. Indian Larry was as cool as his bikes!

Yea OCC American Chopper kinna sucks the big one in my book.
I sure the heck would not buy the series on DVD -
hehehe I can see some of you faces turning red already[sm=devilgrin.gif]

But they do promote biking in an American style and get a lot of
couch potatoes thinking about getting out on the road.
I have seen two bikes they did that I really liked
one was the MARK LT Lincoln Chopper MARK LT CHOPPER
The other was the David Mann Chopper (Someone got a link to it?)
I know it's all put on with their fussin n stuff but I am more into
learning how to do things than to just watch what someone else can do.
And I agree that if I wanted to watch skeet shooting I would switch the channel. . .

on the whole OCC thing, I kinda have to take the side of Sr. most of the time. While Jr's ideas are often cool, he has the work ethic of a artist...while Sr reminds me kinda of my job...Cost and schedule are drivers of any project, as is utilization of the workforce. There was an episode were Jr special ordered a tank which caused arguement w/ Sr because he felt it could have been fabbed at OCC. Sr's arguement was that OCC was a Fab shop, and didn't need to order a part...OCC made part meant more to him than a OCC bike made with everyone elses parts.

And even if he were my son...Mikey would have been fired long LONG ago!

With all the tools and people at their disposal, they should have no problems making deadlines like bike shows, yet every show bike seems to have problems because Jr. is tinkering with things constantly.

What I'd like to see them build is a Steve McQueen inspired chopper. Instead of using a S&S like everyone else does, use a new Triumph Thruxton 900 engine, or even better use the Rocket III engine
