Default Texas ROT Rally Bands Announced

Thursday night - Blue Oyster Cult
Friday night - Blood Sweat and Tears

And the headliner Saturday night.....Brett Michaels

They raised the prices for the rally and this is the best they could do?? I'm not knocking these guys, they were good in their day, but none of them have had a hit in decades.

Seems like most rallies have bands, or worse yet cover bands, from the 70s most of the time. IMO that sucks--for the prices they charge please gimme something new.

There are some other great bands playing but they could have done a lot better with the head liners.

Not sure if it's going to be the same, but last year some of those names were playing in a tent. You couldn't take your own beer in. You had to buy it from them.

I know it's not Sturgis, but as big as the ROT rally has become, you would think they could get some one that can still fill a small concert venue on their own as opposed to a club.

Enjoy the rally. I always have a blast there.

No doubt they could've done better, and yes none of them have had hits in decades, but...The hits they did have were pretty darned good. Maybe they can still play a little too. Or maybe I'm just showing my age.

It's not as big problem of a problem as ya might think. Things will be sooooo crowded and wild, you'll never see or hear the Bands anyway!

What do you expect....they hold the ROT during the time of year when one can expect 105 degree days followed by 101 degrees ALL night long, accompanied by balmy humidity of 95+%. 2nd week of June in Austin, might as well be in the (at least dry heat) of Arizona or Death Valley.
Perfect weather for a leisurely 3mph parade thru downtown Austin w/ about 20,000 other Harleys.
