Passed a bike crash sunday am just after the toll booth on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge(9:00 am'ish). does anyone know any up date, riders ok etc..hope everyone was o.k.
I was riding to the seaford harley davidson spring forward poker run. thought they may have been going to the same event.

Guy on the bike not in good condition. They did get him to Shock Trauma though, so his chances of making it are a lot better, I hope. God bless you Kevin. Here's a link to the story.

Prayers go out. With the way that is set up right now I'm thinking more and more of just going north and down through DE for my trips to the beach this year.

 

It can get real hairy at the toll booth. People don't even look, they just move right over to the next lane.

 

My Kid just started driving and That's the only place I get nervous, lots of merging from different angles and confusion of what lanes are going where. And that's in our Jeep .

Plus if your in trouble there's just no where to go to avoid it.

 

Know what you mean!! There's about six or seven toll booths going into two lanes. That ain't right!!

 

Man - there ain't that much going on there. It shouldn't be that much of a problem. I'm surprised a run would go across the bridge/tunnel. When I lived there almost 30 years ago, the toll each way was like $13 or something like that.

 

NO, NO!!! We are talking about the bridge, upper bay around Annapolis.

My roommate told me about this yesterday. He had a meeting with a client of his yesterday who is the victim's wife.

As the man on his motorcycle paid his toll and proceded to leave to toll booth, the Suburu came from his right across toll traffic in front of the boothes.

The guy was from out of town and attempting to do a U-turn at the toll boothes and avoid going across the bridge.

Guy is pretty banged up, but my roommate made it sound like he was stable and should recover.
