Default Storage shed for a harley

I need to build/ buy a shed to store my bike (883C). I don't want to leave it in my driveway only under a cover. Would a 6' x 8' shed be enough room to store the bike (i am trying to do this on a budget)?

6' wide is plenty, 8' long might be tight but should work. Make a chalk mark from front tire then just behind back and measure.

Not sure of the size of my buddies for his nightster, but he has to angle it inside, but works. It's one of them costco rubbermade ones. You know the width is more then enough. For length measure the bike from front tire to back tire.

I know that you said that you was on a budget, But do your self a favor and make sure its big enough to allow you to work on the bike to. Otherwise it was kinda a waste of money in my opinion. You could probably ride to the local homedepot and check out their sheds most depot keep their sheds out in the parking lot so you can pull your bike right up to if not in one to see. I dont think that they would give you crap for that I know thats what my buddy did when he bought one for his ultra. And OP could you enlarge your font some please.

I understand you're price conscious on this, and a 6X8 will work for storage, but if you go up to about 8X10 you'll be able to work on it in there, too. The shed will cost more, but you can make that dough back by doing your own wrenching when it's dark and/or cold. Performing one 5,000 mile service yourself will make up the difference.
This is a 10x14. It's had 3 bikes in it no problem:

I also agree that larger one would be great for working on the bike.
I dont think the floor would hold up well if you plan on using a jack.

I bought a 8x12 TuffShed from home depot but not for my bike.It was installed in one day.
You can save some money by installing the windows yourself.

I have a 8x10' (8' deep) shed and park 2 bikes in it. Not much room for anything else but it will work.

Just don't cheap out on the floor.

I use a 12X12 shed with a roll up door that I bought at Menards. All said and done it cost me about $1300. Maybe more than you want to spend, but it has made a nice little motorcycle shop for a guy who doesnt have a garage

I built a 10x12 for bike and snowmobile storage and it works great! Went with the barn style roof so I could build a loft for additional storage. I believe the price from Home depot was 1300 or so which I thought was steep so I made a materials list while looking at the prefab shed, went in and bought all the materials for 500.00. Only challenge was building the trusses but once I got a jig made it was easy and got the same shed for half the price.
