Monday I was on the HD website looking for a new helmet and saw a new model made by KBC that only came in black and looked alot like a ACH (military style kevlar helmet). I went to the dealer and they had not heard of it. I went to the website again and it was no longer listed. Has anyone seen this helmet and if so do you know the name?

Ya I have seen that helmet in a Harley shop in NJ, can't find it online either. Does look like a military Kevlar helmet though.

 

That helmet is made by KBC, and H-D sells them with various logos and finishes under a few different names. However, if you don't insist on having it with H-D logos on it, you can get it much cheaper from dealers that sell KBC helmets under the KBC model name, "Nomad."

 

They have it in Stock at Bergen Harley,,,, the above pic is not rhe one the OP is referring to... there is a new one same design as a US Military Kevlar (the German WWII Style) pic is representitive....

 

Thanks for your help. It is the Harley #1 Half Helmet in the Black Label collection. Extremely hard to come by. Model # is 97277-10VM and there are only a few at select dealers. I ordered mine theough Seminole HD they have a few.

Well that's different than the one I pictured that I responded about. The problem you will have is that helmet isn't new, it's old and no longer in production, which is why it's hard to find a dealer that has any in stock.

 

I came across what I think is the same exact helmet in OD Green with the HD labeling from a HD Dealership in Illinois, I think. Seem to remember it being a fireglass shell.
