Default Note to self

Back the bike out of the garage BEFORE you spray paint anything so as not to get the over spray all over the bike and have to spend most of your day off cleaning up your dumba** mistake. Who knew how far overspray could travel.

That is a lesson that I have learned many times. I just wish my memory was better.

Default tip

i detailed cars for years and worked for a body shop. get detailer autobody specific clay (silly putty and plado dont work) and a liquid spray wax.

1. clean the panel, you dont want ANY dust dirt or grime that the clay can drag across your paint job!

2. spray the panel with the spray wax dont be shy with the wax u want the clay to slide easy for it to work properly.

3. back and forth motion with the clay like yer hand sanding, circles are bad. I keep my palm flat on the clay that way if the clay picks up anything that will scratch the paint you should feel it pretty quick and be able to stop before doing damage.

if done right it works great, I had to do a whole boat once from stern to bow, and believe me I tried every trick in the book and it was by far the fastest and safest method I found.
