new bike haul it or ride it home

Just my opinion, but I think you should consider trailering it. I did mine. Reason is, there are a lot of bells and whistles on there and you wouldn't want to hit the wrong one while riding. Trailer it home, read your owner's manual, become familiar with it. Then ride it. Better safe than sorry.

Tell the salesman to tell everyone that works at the Dealership to pretend like you didn't buy the bike and just came in to look at T-shirts. Have him put the bike out in the parking lot where they keep the service dept bikes and tell him to leave the keys on a desk.
Then....when no one is paying attention to you (they won't cause the sales guy told them not to) you can go over and pick up the keys and go out in the parking lot and jump on the bike and rip *** out of there and ride it home like ya stole it!!!
Go ahead and do it. It will be fun.

Dealership delivered mine about 30 miles... It was the middle of February and the roads were a mess and covered with salt.
Ultimately it's up to you... Are you an experienced rider or just starting out?

RIDE IT! picked mine up on friday and had the first 60 miles on it (around town) in about three hours. Then rode it 450 miles home, shifting between 5th and 6th gear to keep the revs switched up, and only stopped for fuel with no problems. Before I left the dealer, they asked if they could help me load it up. I told them that I didn't buy it to haul it around, I got it to RIDE!

I put over 200 on mine the first day, and it was a no brainer to ride it. Just remember that it is being broke in and you need to vary the engine RPM and not cruise on the interstate.

Have you ridden a bike before? Recently? If yes, ride your new bike home.
If you haven't ridden or haven't ridden in a long time, a 100 mile trip from the dealership is not the time to gain or brush up on your riding skills.

Mine rode home in the back of my truck..... In my defense it snowed 3" at home and it was a 4hr ride, lol. It didn't snow where the dealer was so I went for a quick 100 mile ride and made it back to the dealer to use the loading ramp 5mins before closing, lol.
