accident yesterday on mountain road
i went up to suches yesterday morning for a ride. great twisties. i fell in with this group about halfway from where i live to where we were going. nice folks. on the way back one of the bikes (2 up) went off the road on a really tricky downhill snake and his wife bounced off. her leg got caught by the passanger floorboard and it broke her leg really badly. 2 places at least from the look of it.
i was right behind them and i have to be somewhat lucky not to have run over her. this shook me up pretty good. i had a cell phone and got the EMT's there. i waited with them along with the others and rode with them most of the way to the hospital.
it put a strain on an otherwise perfect day. i would just tell you all to take it easy on the mountain twisties. especially if you are not familiar with the road you are on.

And that is why I'm taking the "Accident Scene Management" course in June. I hope to never have to use that knowledge, but you never know. Sorry to hear about that, and hope that the riders involved are OK.

At least your phone worked, mine does not on most mountain rides. Never know what you are going to find around blind turns like the car out of gas in my lane. Lucky I was taking it easy. Speedy recovery to her
