Anybody have a 2010 RG or SG and wouldn't mind telling me what the MOCO says the maximum carrying capacity is? A 2090 would probably do just as well for informational purposes. I'm really interested in the RG but I figure the RG and SG should be the same. The dealer says it would be the same 474Lbs. as the EG Classic or Ultra, but that doesn't sound right since the RG and SG have the shorter suspension in the rear. Just want to be sure. Thanks!

 

the GVWR for a 2010 FLTRX is 1360 lbs, the bike weight is 783 lbs, believe the max weight would be 1360-783

Tires. Different tires have different weight ratings. (something that may help your situation).

get some E3's, they are rated to carry higher weight.
