Sportster look-a-like

Your right, Bad choice of words. Point I was trying get across is that up until, I believe sometime in the 80's, metrics looked NOTHING like a Harley, but then they started trying to copy the look. Showing my age.

OK, I see the second pic now, they still don't look the same to me. Paint your Softail black, change the air cleaner and it would look more like the Sportster or the Shadow. Could do it to a Dyna as well.
Face it, the wheels, handlebars seat and tank are in those positions on most bikes ever made.

That RS is very close even the tank is almost peanut. I was standing next to the one i originally posted and yes I could tell it wasnt a Harley but from about 100 yds away at first glance. Sportster. My opinion and we all know how those are lol. Like I said though I think my buddy and his friend are talked into them just gotta find one in the right price range.

I prefer to have a brand neutral jacket, but I got a really good deal on a really nice jacket that happens to say Harley on it last fall. Best jacket I have ever owned.
A couple weeks ago I had a tournament 40 miles away, and was really looking forward to riding my bike there, but my Harley battery took a ****, and couldn't get a replacement because they were on back order. So I borrowed my dads V-star and wore my Harley jacket.
I figured I might not get caught by too many people on the V-star, but would just look ridiculous on his gold wing.
Just for the record, I had planned on buying a 1100 V-star for myself when I was looking to upgrade from my old 400 Honda, but I bought my 1200 sporty for less than I was finding any comparable V-stars for.
Now that I have gone Harley though, I have no plans of going back to metrics.
