Why are we obsessed with low
I'm quite tall so never really have an issue with lowering bikes, but seems many people on here will go to a lot of trouble to lower their bike an inch, new seats, winding down shocks etc.HD's are all pretty low compared to race bikes, and I would always feel like it was going to bottom out if I jacked it right down.

I'm short 5' 8" and the dealer lowered my bike 1" when I bought it. I appreciate it when I have to back up. Probably wouldn't have done it if i had to buy the parts.

My step dads 92 Softy custom is literally about an inch higher than my bike with his solo corbin. Funny thing is, he's 5'10 and I'm 6'2. I personally like the lower center of gravity and being able to go flat footed if need be.

Many lower for looks as well. Both my bikes are stock height and I have no plan to lower them. There are times when you'd think ridability would outway looks. The Heriatge has almost no lean agle as it is.

I've also wondered about this "gotta be flat footed" when sitting stuff. I think it depends on what you were brought up on. I learned to ride on pretty tall dirt bikes and was never able to touch more than a toe when resting so kinda got used to that. My stock height RG is just fine for this shortass.

I'm with you on the advantage of tall. My Sportster is a special model. You don't see many of them on the road. They ride better, corner better, look better, and cost less. I think they simply called it the "XL."

if you can only touch your toes on the ground, it's kinda a bitch when you have to push 800lbs backwards.
