At 5'10'', I'm neither tall or short, just in the middle, I guess. I've ridden lowered bikes, but I don't like the sound of metal grinding on pavement in the twisties, which is why I have an FXR. However, if someone is more comfortable in everyday riding with a lowered bike because of their inseam, more power to 'em.

I'm actually looking into raising the backend of my RoadGlide for ground clearance in turns.

Not everybody is built like you. Among other things like style and personal preference, I chose the Deluxe because it fit my 30" inseam. I'm 6 feet tall but have short legs. A low bike works for me. It's why they offer so many models as we are all not built the same way. Besides, some folks just like the way a lowered bike looks.

Because the Authorities around my neck of the woods here in Kansas tend to frown at you if you're riding along and you happen to be "Too High". That's why we, or I, like to stay as low as possible. I've even had to glance up once or twice over the years just to see what kind of snake it is that I'm just about to pass by that's sunnin himself on the shoulder of the highway.
