Default Riding clothes for kids?

I think we beat the 'Should I let my kid ride' issue, now I'm looking for gear.

Here's what I'm leaning toward:

1. Helmet: HJC youth Cyclone. Designed for kids, and it is available in a size that fits her head, may also consider the HD helmet, but she wants pink. I guess I can give a little.

2. Jacket: a. Primal Leather kids cowhide jacket.
b. Tourmaster youth Jett 2.

3. Pants: Primal Leather lined cowhide azzless chaps.

4. Boots: Harley Faded Glory youth over the ankle boots.

5. Gloves: a. Fox Dirtpaw mx gloves.
Still looking for leather that's small enough to fit.

Interested in other ideas.

Thanks,
Kurt

Don't know what age you're talking about, but kids grow so fast you'd be buying them new stuff every year. Could get pretty expensive.

I already eBay'd the boots, and am watching Craigslist & 'da-bay. Ya, this stuff really adds up.

It's great to hear someone that wants to teach their kids the right way to dress on a motorcycle. I cringe whenever I see a kid on the back of a bike wearing sneakers, t-shirt. and a helmet that is way too big. You see it all the time. I bet these same people would never dream of letting their kids ride in the car without their seatbelts on? No matter how much it costs to gear up a kid each year, it would still be cheaper than hospital bills for road rash or head injuries.

I bought my kids hd branded stuff on ebay. Like petemac said, they grow so fast which equals to great deals on hardly worn stuff. I picked up kids boots worn once for $10 shipped.

Careful on the HD label youth jackets. I just called on one, and it's made of simulated leather. Not sure how that performs if it is really needed.

The HD youth jackets currently on the site are leather, start at size 14/16, but are a bit pricey.

Usually I search for "kids harley" or "children's harley" and then narrow the results down by selecting a category, price range, etc.. on the left column.

Personally, I'd make sure that everything had armor. Looks like a lot of the stuff you are considering does.

There was a guy on advrider.com who was organized an ATGATT-for-kids swap section. It's probably still there.
