I really prefer maiden oil but it is hard to find as it only comes from the finest virgin maidens.

Friend of mine has a 2004 RK with over 118,000 miles.

Never had any mechanical related problems, and does all of his own work on the bike.

He has used nothing but Rotella T 15W40 in the engine and primary since the bike was new.

Harley's aren't 'high tech' or picky about the fluids they run (much less so than their owners). Preform regluar maintenace, change your fluids and filters at reasonable intervals, and your bike will live a long and happy life.

Just saying'........

Why Rotella? Does he get it free from his employer?

Just seems like an "odd" choice to marry yourself for life with.
Rotella is favored by Diesel Truck operators for their big rigs.

He uses it in all his vehicles, including his Harley's, trucks and cars..

Works great and it's only around $2.25 a quart.

He thinks some of us are crazy to spend over $4.00 a quart for Mobil 1 15W50, let alone $9.00+ a quart for the so called "Motorcycle Specific Fluids"...

Cars too??????? That **** eats them cheap cork gaskets that some of the cars run. Perhaps the newer cars don't run those cheap gaskets, but guess what? Many of the newer cars HATE 40 wt oil. 5/30w is recommended by many of the car makers now days.

Glad your buddy had better luck with it than some others I know (in cars).

I don't know, but many folks use Rotella T 'dino' in their vehicles.

My 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (High Output 4.0) has over 225,000 miles on the original ticker..

I run the Rotella T 15W40 in it, and it's been completely trouble free. Never even had the valve cover removed.... I did have to replace a water pump and redo the CV joints a few thousand miles ago, but that has nothing to do with the oil it's using...

I see you have a gravel driveway. My concrete driveway don't let me get away with the oil leaks.
