That's different. I wear a HD FF System II helmet mostly for longer rides or cold/rain. I also sometimes wear a HD half, then for very short rides I may wear no helmet. Just IMO personal preferences.
I can personally relate to a crash I had in 1985 while wearing a FF helmet on a rice burner back then. If I had not been wearing it, then I would not be here now, as it saved my ***, even though it was shattered, my head was OK.

How well does ReeVu work with a passenger sitting behind you?
I'd be most worried about the danger of fixating on the rearview, at the expense of maintaining good SA in the forward field of view. Can definitely see the potential for trouble with this helmet...

From the face shield? I don't recall ever having heard of that happening. I would think it more likely the face shield would just pop off entirely. Even at that, they seem to stay on pretty well (if they're closed). I've seen some pretty beat up helmets with the face shield intact and equally as beat up.
for 500 i hope to god it isn't that reflective plastic tape bullshit like the "mirrors" on a powerwheels jeep.

Think it's interesting. Wouldn't mind trying it out for sure.
(The dog helmet: A sign that a dog is in distress or anxious is if they are sticking their tounge out a lot - that poor dog was. Also, the sound of a motorcycle to their ears is excruciating, they need to be protected. anyway just my 2c)
