Wear a FF all the time but have no interest in that helmet at all. We only occasionally look to the rear yet this thing is "on" constantly. Every time you turn your head to look at the scenery you get this moving rear image in your field of view. I think it would be terribly distracting. Not to mention the above comment of waht do you do at night with rear headlights. Nice idea I guess but in practice really bad.

From the face shield? I don't recall ever having heard of that happening. I would think it more likely the face shield would just pop off entirely. Even at that, they seem to stay on pretty well (if they're closed). I've seen some pretty beat up helmets with the face shield intact and equally as beat up.

Distracting? I have a rearview in my cages and they don't distract. As a matter of fact, they help with a little eye-flicking for general awareness enhancement.

Gee, I wonder why the promoter in the video keeps saying that the helmet takes time to get used to? Probably because we are used to certain awareness techniques right now and that having the rearview feature would require some adjustment. It seems that it would only distract if you let it.

I think it is freaking cool. $500 is what one video said. Hmmm.

If I could, I would probably buy one.

i think it's a cool idea, i can see it saving lives out there on the road, by letting riders be more aware of what's going on behind them.
