I believe the OP had issues getting good fuel in his region.

This is an old thread that just came back. I am curious how the OP made out.
Did I say anything about him not being able to part together a kit? No.

My point was that the 103" Stage II kit is a very reliable kit. Your point that anything in the 10.5:1 range isn't reliable is bunk.

Not trying to hi-jack here but, dude, are those orange moto-cross grips in your signature pic???

By the way, great info here. I'm running 10.5:1 and best gas is 91 octane. No problems. Did have a slight issue in Sturgis (putting around in traffic, 100 temps and crap gas). Good luck.

My point? I never made that point.

Don't be putting words in my mouth!

10.5 won't do well with poor fuel. The OP has poor fuel.

I run 10.4:1 in my own bike! LMAO! I have ample access to good fuel!
But my bike was not happy inside the 100 mile radius around Sturgis where poor fuel was the norm.

The OP specifically mentions his lack of good fuel availability.

OPs last post was six months ago and he never did tell us what he ended up with. Post some more, maybe he's watching.

The best we can get here in AZ is 91 octane and my bike runs great with the Stage II. Guess maybe it's just the ones that you've seen as usual.

Post your dino sheet.

This thread is a year old. Dude finished his build long ago.
Not gonna sit here and argue the obvious with a guy that never posts without arguing, regardless of the subject matter.

I ain't the only one here who posted issues with high compression and bad gas.

Yours likely was "tuned down" for it (thus my request for dyno sheet).

Rather than tune-down a higher compression motor, it's MUCH more prudent to go with lower compression and with max tune.
More durable, well behaved without the hot-starts.
Flat out easier on all components.

If you can't see the obvios,..... you need more education. Post your dino sheet. Show us your "runs good" sheet. The numbers man. Show us the numbers.
