My point was that the 103" Stage II kit is a very reliable kit. Your point that anything in the 10.5:1 range isn't reliable is bunk.

By the way, great info here. I'm running 10.5:1 and best gas is 91 octane. No problems. Did have a slight issue in Sturgis (putting around in traffic, 100 temps and crap gas). Good luck.

Don't be putting words in my mouth!
10.5 won't do well with poor fuel. The OP has poor fuel.
I run 10.4:1 in my own bike! LMAO! I have ample access to good fuel!
But my bike was not happy inside the 100 mile radius around Sturgis where poor fuel was the norm.
The OP specifically mentions his lack of good fuel availability.

My point? I never made that point.

This thread is a year old. Dude finished his build long ago.
Not gonna sit here and argue the obvious with a guy that never posts without arguing, regardless of the subject matter.
I ain't the only one here who posted issues with high compression and bad gas.
Yours likely was "tuned down" for it (thus my request for dyno sheet).
Rather than tune-down a higher compression motor, it's MUCH more prudent to go with lower compression and with max tune.
More durable, well behaved without the hot-starts.
Flat out easier on all components.
If you can't see the obvios,..... you need more education. Post your dino sheet. Show us your "runs good" sheet. The numbers man. Show us the numbers.
