What's the worst weather you've ever rode in?

Worst was severe cross winds going out of East Gate of Yellowstone heading into Cody. Having my wife on the back increased it times 2!!
Second was a surprise snowstorm that turned into white out conditions in Wisconsin.

Last year when we were headed back home from North Carolina, we were out in the middle of BFE trying to dogde the weather while listening to tornado warnings on the radio. We managed to find shelter just before it started hailing. We took off again after the hail stopped but the rain was still horrible. I had on my Daytona 1/2 helmet and was following my husband's tail light on the interstate praying he could see where we were going because I could not!

Whoever said Wyoming has wild weather was right. I've ridden in crosswinds out on the plains so strong that I had to lean right to turn left. And there's no place to get out of the wind since I was west of Newcastle, where it's 60 or 70 miles between towns and little in the way of windbreaks of any kind.
I went over Powder River pass once at night in summertime and it got foggy with temps dipping into the thirties; my hands got so stiff, with insulated gloves on, that I could barely work the controls. Luckily it never got down to freezing.
Not to mention all the times I've had to find an underpass or bar or someplace to get out of a thunderstorm.

Rode from Anchorage Alaska to Fairbanks one weekend years ago. On the way home, starting around Denali Nat. park, we hit rain, wind, snow and cold a$$ weather. No rain gear, got soaked. It was miserable! A ride I will never forget!

Been caught in a few downpours that forced me to take cover under an overpass. Last summer our group got up in the rain, packed up our tents and rode 500 miles from Sturgis to Blue Earth, Minnesota. I thought I had a rainsuit but it turned out to only be the raincoat. My torso stayed relatively dry, but from the waist down I was soaked. I had to open up my cell phone and use the hair dryer in the motel to dry it out. Luckily we left a day before the big hail storm.

The worst weather I ever rode in happened to be one of my luckiest rides. I was headed back to Milwaukee from Minneapolis. The heaviest rain I have ever been in. When the lightning bolts started crashing down around me I decided to find a place to let the weather pass. The next exit just happened to be the Hochunk Indian Casino. I stayed for about an hour and a half and won $500 at the Black Jack table. Still rained the rest of the way but I felt a whole lot better about it!

Last September during the Motorcycle Safety Course, constant turd floater of a down-pour both days all day long and not exactly warm and balmy either. But as someone mentioned earlier - the beer at the end of the day, nothin' better.

The year was 1987. It was a dark and stormy night...Well it was really day time but that sounds better.
I was riding back to Seattle from Sturgis and hit about 300 miles of thunderstorms in Montana. Wind, Rain, Lighting, Hail, and I think even some swarms of Locust. I was pressed for time and made the ride nonstop except for gas, food and shittin.
It sucked at the time but now it stands out as one of my more memorable rides.
I stopped at a little roadside diner to get out of the weather for a few minutes and get something hot in my gut. I walked in and hung my jacket and gloves on the coat hooks they had inside the door and went into the john to take a leak. I still had my assless chaps on. As I was standing there pissin a older (70's maybe) cowboy came in and stood next to me at the trough and said "you look pretty wet and tired". I told him I'd just ridden through a couple hundred miles of some of the worst weather I'd ever seen. He got a surprised look on his face and said...."On a horse"? It was priceless.

Last year, after the Americade, my buddy and I decide we are going to ride to the top of Mount Washington. We left Lake George and it was sunny and in the 80's. When we hit NH it was nothing but thunder storms and in the 50's. But we were determined to get to the top of the mountain. The further we went, the worse it got. It was snowing, sleeting and 50-60 mph winds with temps in the 30's. We parked the bikes, ran to the summit and came right back. We were afraid the winds would blow the bikes over. It was crazy trying to ride the edge of the mountain roads with those winds. Then on the way down, we we encounter two guys on Harleys on their way up. We weren't the only crazy ones. At the bottom we headed east across the state of ME. Then we wanted to head south on rte1. But it was pouring and in the 40's, we were freezing and just wanted to get home. So we jumped on 95 rode home to CT 450 mi. in the rain in the 40's. Just as a reminder Americade is in June. Hoping to do this ride again someday with better weather. By the way the bikes never had any problems in the changing weather.
